1. Article 275(1) of the Indian Constitution – Grant-in-Aid Scheme This is central assistance provided to the state government under Article 275(1) of the Constitution. New guidelines were issued on 23 April 2020, and the funds received are used for various individual and group development programs. Between 2018–19 and 2020–21, a total of 69 projects were sanctioned across three years, with ₹50,580.32 lakh sanctioned and ₹44,725.77 lakh actually received. No new sanctions were recorded for 2021–22 or 2022–23. 2. Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana Starting in 2021–22, this scheme replaced the earlier Special Central Assistance scheme. Government Ashram School Cluster Scheme Since 1972-73, the government has been running the Residential Ashram School Cluster Scheme to accelerate the economic, educational, and social development of Scheduled Tribe communities living in extremely remote and hilly areas. The scheme's main objective is to foster a love of learning among tribal boys and girls in remote hilly regions and hamlets, to educate them, and thereby raise their standard of living. Government Ashram Schools have taken on the task of carrying the light of education into valleys, hills, and remote hamlets. Under this scheme, the general norm set is one Ashram School for every 5,000 to 7,000 people in Scheduled Tribe areas. However, since some areas are extremely remote with populations scattered across many small hamlets, a revised norm was set from 1982 for such specific locations: one Ashram School for every 3,000 to 5,000 people.
